Handcrafted Silver Rebel Pendant Necklace

Rebel have partnered with jewellery designer and maker Steve Ali, to produce this beautiful physical embodiment of our stunning and instantly recognisable logo.

Raised in Damascus, a city steeped in history and craftsmanship, Steve spent his summers in the workshops of family artisans, observing, learning and absorbing the soul of the craft of silverwork. 

Formally training as an architect, being drawn to structure and form, displacement uprooted everything Steve knew, and in a refugee camp he started making jewellery out of discarded scraps. This became a necessity and then something deeper – a quiet act of defiance, a way to reclaim dignity and beauty amidst harshness.

In the refugee camp Steve met a silversmith who reinspired a love of traditional techniques and working with one’s hands, creating things that carry meaning.

Now based in east London, Steve designs handcrafted bespoke jewellery using traditional methods. His work is a way of remembering, of resisting and of continuing. The perfect partnership for Rebel and our mission.
